PVG countersigning is the process of verifying and supporting a PVG application as part of the Disclosure Scotland system.

How much does this cost?
Our service fee is: £18.99 + VAT
This covers our PVG countersigning service only.
It does not include Disclosure Scotland fees, which are paid separately when submitting your application.

£59 – New PVG membership
£59 – Upgrade (Children or Adults to both)
Do I need a mygov.scot account?
Yes. After countersigning, you must complete your PVG application directly through Disclosure Scotland using a mygov.scot account.
How does the process work?

- We complete countersigning and initial application via Disclosure Scotland
- You complete your application via Disclosure Scotland
How long does it take?
Times vary depending on identity verification and Disclosure Scotland processing.
Most applications are completed within 14 days, but this may be longer due to third-party checks.

No. PVG certificates are issued directly by Disclosure Scotland.
What if I make a mistake on my application?

If your application has not yet been processed, we can amend your details at no additional cost.
If processing has already started or been completed, a new application may be required and additional charges may apply.
Do you offer refunds?
Refunds are only available if your application has not yet entered processing.
Once processing has started, refunds are not available due to the nature of the service and identity verification steps involved.
Please contact us as soon as possible if you wish to request a refund.
What if my identity cannot be verified through Didit?
If you are unable to complete identity verification through Didit, please contact us.
In some cases, we may be able to manually review your documents and continue processing your application.
We will advise you on the next steps if this applies.
